RINK Non-Profit Info

NedRINK is the internet home of the Nederland Ice & Racquet Park located in the beautiful mountain town of Nederland, Colorado.

In the winter, it's an Olympic-size, outdoor, open-air ice rink, for recreational and figure skating, hockey, and curling. In the summer, it converts into three public tennis courts.  Join our mailing list to stay in touch with events and plans at the park!

Nederland was accepted by a unanimous vote of the Colorado Amateur Hockey Association (CAHA) to become the newest youth hockey association in Colorado. The vote took place at CAHA’s annual meeting earlier this summer.

As a member of CAHA, the new Nederland Youth Hockey Association (NYHA) will be sanctioned by USA Hockey as a bona fide hockey program, providing players from the Peak-to-Peak region with access to tournament and league play throughout the state.

“Our program was ready for this next step,” said Tim Murphy, Nederland hockey director. “In the last couple of years we’ve had some experience with road trips and our players have absolutely loved it. Now we can explore so many more options than we ever had before.”

Attention, NedRINK Tennis Players!

Never mind the soggy weather; the tennis season has begun!

In addition to updated information on the website, make sure you check out a new tennis program for 2010:

2010 FLEXIBLE ROUND ROBIN TENNIS LEAGUES

These programs will start about mid June. Participants will be given the scheduled opponents in advance.

The format of playing at least one match per week will give everybody a chance to face different players, gain match experience and have the flexibility to arrange matches based on everyone's availability.

For doubles play you can choose your own partner.

Calling all Nederland Ice & Racquet Park athletes ..... it time to get the park ready for the tennis season! We will be gathering at the park this Sunday May 16 at 3pm to get ready for tennis, and we need a lot of hands to help finish the transition.

Your volunteer hours will be counted and go towards your tennis season pass (10$ per volunteer hour, 8 hours for family pass and 6 hours for individual pass). This is your community ice rink & tennis park ...... jump in and join the fun.

If you checked out Nederland Youth Hockey equipment for the ice season, there will be someone on hand to help you check in your skates & hockey gear. It is time to return the equipment and get your deposit check back in hand.

See you on the courts!

Tim's going to be clearing out a bunch of hockey stuff TODAY (Sat) @ 3pm for about an hour, to make room for the tennis work session tomorrow, and he could use a hand. He's also willing to check in borrowed hockey gear while he's there. If you can swing by, he'd be most appreciative!

Racquets and Ice for Nederland Kids

To everyone who checked out hockey equipment at the Ned Rink. The equipment return day will be in April at the first "ice to tennis" Sunday volunteer work session. We will send out an email letting everyone know that it is time to set up for tennis and return your hockey gear. Please wash any items that are dirty and let everything dry out before bagging it all up to return in April.

Let me take this opportunity to reach out and THANK all of our generous VOLUNTEERS that made it all possible for another fun season at the Nederland Ice Rink!
