Thank you for supporting the Nederland Ice Rink!

Now that the kids are back in school, we are going back to our "Regular" schedule (http://nedrink.com/node/5) with the following additions and adjustments:

*The Nederland Curling Club* has League Play every Monday, Thursday & Saturday from 5:15-8pm. They will continue to share the ice with Open Rec & Figure Skating. There will be one Zamboni run in advance at 5pm. *Drop In Learn to Curl* is now on Saturdays at 12:45.

*Women's Drop In Hockey* has been moved to start at 6:45 - 8:00 every Wednesday evening.

Come play Broomball tonight @ 5:15pm!

But if you'd rather skate, Broomball's only going to be using half the ice and we have an eager rink attendant, so we're sharing the other half for rec skate/stick and puck, as long as the Broomball crowd sticks around.  C'mon out, either way, and enjoy the last few days of the holiday schedule.

Rackets & Ice for Nederland Kids

The RINK has enjoyed its first two broomball games ever, and we're going for a third this Sunday (1/3) at 5:15pm (new time).  C'mon out, and bring a friend!

Leave your skates at home, but do bring:  A helmet.  Knee protection.  Enthusiasm.  $3 (+ any rink fees) for the broomball equipment fund.

Rackets & Ice for Nederland Kids

Attention:  Broomball enthusiasts!

NedRINK is excited to announce the addition of another great winter sport to its holiday lineup:  Broomball!

BroomballBroomball is a hockey-like ice sport, where the object is to score goals by hitting a ball, similar in size to a #3 soccer ball, into a goal. Unlike hockey, broomball is played in shoes or boots -- no skates required. The stick is basically a broom handle with a hard rubber wedge on the end.

Cornering is tricky, which puts a premium on passing, balance and hand/eye coordination.

The Nederland Ice Rink Holiday Schedule starts this SATURDAY the 19th AT
